trying " sudo apt-get install qmmp " but not work

sudo apt-get install qmmp not work, but universe sources i have open

What version of ubuntu are you using? This package is only available in jaunty.

I have Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex. Why isn't in this version? I thing jaunty wasn't oficial finished.
