Bug Description
Binary package hint: hubackup
HUBackup is not finished yet, and the restore GUI is not working and won't be anytime soon (see bug 64594). Users backup their files and don't know how to recover them - some may not like using dar in a console... When you have formatted your drive, you may really be scared of losing everything (though you should check before formatting, obviously).
This is really bad for Ubuntu since a very nice GUI leads you to a situation where you may want to kill somebody! ;-) Playing with people's data and nerves is really not the way to get popular and gain credibility. So please remove ASAP the hubackup package from universe.

Do this in before releasing Jaunty. I have no time to fix hurestore any time soon and I have not heard something from Sivan in a while (not that I tried, but anyway). From my perspective, development has ceased.
While the backup GUI works in some basic cases, the restore gui doesn't work at all. As stated before, you need dar on the command line to get your data back.
