Binary package hint: nautilus
steps to reproduce:
- open nautilus
- enable "show hidden files"
- close folder
- open folder - all hidden files are visible but the option ist NOT enabled
- enable the option and disable it to go to step 1

Thank you for your bug report. I can confirm this, but only in spatial mode where Nautilus opens a new window for each folder, and by checking "Show Hidden Files" from the "View" menu.
