Bug Description
Using Ubuntu eee 8.04.1 with Firefox 3.0.5, Java plugin 1.6.0_07-b06.
After logging in to LogMeIn (www.logmein.com) and trying to open the remote control feature I am asked if I want to run a Java applet. After I agree the browser crashes with the following error thrown in the console:
The program '<unknown>' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
(Details: serial 9365 error_code 8 request_code 42 minor_code 0)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
INTERNAL ERROR on Browser End: SendRequest: write failed. Dead VM? 32
--- end of error message
This applet works on different OSs such as Win 2003/XP. After many crashes and 100% processor usage this applet also worked on a vanilla Ubuntu 8.10 installation.
