Bug Description

Additional information: when the below mentioned appeared, and when closing firefox, it will stay invisible but active instead of actually closing. It can then only be closed through the system monitor. Often firefox has opened itself a second time, also invisible.

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

When using a web page that uses java for uploading photos for printing the address part of a new tab shows the typing in the address part in reverse order. So, the typing direction is altered by either java or by firefox itself. I use firefox under ubuntu 8.10.

ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: i386
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.10
Package: firefox-3.0 3.0.5+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.10.1
ProcEnviron:
 PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games
 LANG=nl_NL.UTF-8
 SHELL=/bin/bash
SourcePackage: firefox-3.0
Uname: Linux 2.6.27-9-generic i686

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest version of Firefox 3.0? Thanks in advance.

At this time I am using Firefox 3.0.10 under Ubuntu 9.04.
So far, I did not see this problem anymore. But it may also because I am not
using the older versions anymore.

Thank you.
