Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

When looking at myspace, or streaming video from a few sites, the sound fails to work when playing music locally.I can stream video from any site, then when finished and I decide to listen to music on my hard drive, the sound fails.I must reboot every time to get the sound to work.I am using ubuntu 8.04lts.I would expect that i could stream video and then listen to music, but I cannot.

Thanks for submitting the bug in order to help make Ubuntu better!

Can you please provide some details on the Hardware you are running? Can you also run the following in a terminal:
lspci | cat > lspci_output.txt

then attach the lspci_output.txt file here.

Thanks for your cooperation.
