Assuming these movies are flash, the problem is unlikely to be with firefox, but rather with the flash plugin you're using. Could you provide more detail of the problem than "can't display"? Are all flash objects broken, or just for one particular site? What is your experience with each of swfdec, gnash, and flashplugin-nonfree? You also mentioned that you had the problem after disabling and reenabling the plugins, so make sure you have first restarted firefox before trying to view movies. Thanks in advance.
