azureus (3.1.1.0-3.1) unstable; urgency=low

  * Tentative NMU.
  * Build with openjdk-6-jdk by default (but allow for user rebuilds
using any JDK), and remove azureus-gcj altogether (Closes: #495514).
  * Add a lintian override to signify that java and ant are indeed needed
as Build-Depends-Indep even though we do not build any arch-dependent
    binary packages.
   * In /usr/bin/azureus, enforce use of the JRE specified in Depends:.

Hi,

Thanks for working on this.

+Note for mergers
+----------------
+
+When merging a new upstream version, the merger should search for "6880" and
+apply the correct substitution. Also, any port selection in the range x-65535
+should be done in the range x-49151 instead.

Did you check for any additions of these strings?

There are also a few changes from Debian that aren't clearly documented:

- <property name="dist.jar.excludes" value="${generic.excludes} **/*.java " />
+ <property name="dist.jar.excludes" value="${generic.excludes} **/*.java debian/ build/ dist/ *build.xml azureus Azureus.* " />

- ANT_OPTS=-Xmx128m ant
+ ANT_OPTS=-Xmx256m ant

Also you remove the "binary-arch" target, but this is a required target, even if it
does nothing.

Lastly, the package depends on libseda-java, but this package has been removed. Is the
dependency still needed?

Thanks,

James

Matt Arnold (mattarnold5) wrote :

all changes you mention are part of Ubuntu's Multiuser patch and binary-arch is listed in PHONY. as for libseda-java build-dep the reason for this was never documented it has never been a build-dep in Debian far as i know and it builds fine without that dependency so i dropped it.

Uploaded, thanks.

There is a new version in Debian that you may wish to merge.

Thanks,
