https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/83166 links to https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu-iso-tests/+bug/83166 which doesn't exist. I don't quite understand why not, though.

Firstly, https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/83166 exists and displays a task (albeit Invalid) on ubuntu-iso-tests.

Secondly, even if the ubuntu-iso-tests task didn't exist, shouldn't a URL of the form above produce a bug page that says "not currently reported on ubuntu-iso-tests, but would you like it to be?"

Works for me. Could you please try again, and let us know if there are some steps I've missed which can help reproducing this?

I don't know what to say; I can still reproduce this simply by visiting the URL I gave. The only vaguely special thing is that I'm in launchpad-beta-testers so I get redirected to edge. But that's not the problem, since:

So, it seems that you can't get this page as an unauthenticated user. The bug is public, so I'm not sure why this is happening.

The reason the page is hidden, is that the ubuntu-iso-tests project is inactive. The reason I could get it when authenticated is because I'm a launchpad developer. Most authenticated users can't view the page.

The fix for the bug, is not to redirect to a bugtask page if it's for an inactive project, even if it's the original task. Instead we should redirect to the first available bugtask for which the page is available.
