Bug Description

Using Ubuntu 8.10 on Lenovo IdeaPad Y510, model 15303.
Hardware keys for brightness control work, but they do not increase/decrease the actual brightness in proper intervals.

I have similar problems in bug 301524 with my thinkpad SL series, duplicate?

Yes, I believe it is the same issue. Duplicate. It also reverses yet
again if you keep decreasing the value after the on-screen indicator
shows it at minimum.
