Bug Description

Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree

Hi,
I'm not sure how long flashplayer has been removed from the current location in the flashplugin-nonfree install script:
http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz

But, that link is now a dead, as it appears to be replaced with the new version (Flash 10), as found here:
http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_10_linux.tar.gz

So, as of the current time, flashplugin-nonfree fails to install. As it returns an "Error 404 Not Found" on the (wget)? download of the tarball.

If you can find a "safe" version of this tarball, then it might be best to keep Flash 9 on a site, safe from external removal.
But I understand that for various reasons, this may not be the best thing to do legally, so an upgrade in this package may/will be required.

I have also made note that Adobe now provide a Ubuntu 8.04 deb packaged version of Flash 10... perhaps we should use this instead?

Thanks for reading.

Regards
Iain
