2008-12-05 23:33:30 Iain Buclaw description Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree Hi, I'm not sure how long flashplayer has been removed from the current location in the script: http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz But, that link is now a dead, as it appears to be replaced with the new version (Flash 10), as found here: http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_10_linux.tar.gz If you can find a "safe" version of this tarball, then it might be best to keep Flash 9 on a site, safe from external removal. But I understand that for various reasons, this may not be the best thing to do legally, so an upgrade in this package may/will be required. I have also made note that Adobe now provide a Ubuntu 8.04 deb packaged version of Flash 10... perhaps we should use this instead? Thanks for reading. As it returns an "Error 404 Not Found" on the (wget)? download of the tarball.
