Right click menu: "Paste Into Folder" flashes on network share

Bug Description

Description: Ubuntu 8.10 Desktop
Release: 8.10

When I right click a network share, "Paste Into Folder" quickly flashes back and forth as available and grayed out. This only occurs when a non-file is in the clipboard (e.g. text). Having a file in the clipboard works like it's supposed to. Clicking on the flickering "Paste Into Folder" option performs no action, which is correct.

I have seen this on samba and ftp shares.

I can provide a video of the issue if needed.
