Hi Iain,

This is a debian-multimedia.org package, and they appear to have a
4.300 version on there. If that is correct then we should probably
sync from there.

Thanks,

James

Hi,

Debian adopted it since then (http://packages.debian.org/sid/libanyevent-perl), and actual version seems to be 4.400-1.
It builds fine, so it should be synced from Debian Unstable instead.

Only problem is that source name is different: libanyevent-perl in Debian, anyevent in Ubuntu.

summary: - Please update anyevent to 4.234
+ Please update anyevent to 4.400

With the package being renamed, the Debian package will most likely need an upgrade path from the anyevent package that we have instead of being a straight sync.

This package has been synced since then (actual version in karmic is 4.410-1).
For the upgrade path, the only application that use it is libevent-execflow-perl (not yet in Debian) that is used only in DVDRip.

I'm not sure it's safe to upgrade anyevent without upgrading libevent-execflow-perl and impacting DVDRip, and libevent-execflow-perl doesn't seem to have any new version since 2007.

So I would say that this bug report can be closed.
