I have the same issue. It's very annoying. I have to "Try Again" like a million times to load a web which drives me crazy.
Like Louis said, this can happen to any website.

My environment is ubuntu 8.1+Firefox 3.0.5. System is up-to-date, but before updating, there seems to be no problem.
I guess it has something to do with the updating.

Any workaround out there?

I was wrong about updating. LiveCD has the same problem.
But i have confirmed that it's my router, after surfing about 2 hours on PPPoE directly, which is perfectly okay.

I don't know why my router would be the problem, and don't know how to fix it either.
I've tried to disable ipv6 in FF and Ubuntu, set the MTU from auto to a correct value, both don't work for me.

Hope someone will finally come up with a solution.

Regards

Looks like the MTU detection is a bug then.

Although I have set the MTU before, I forgot to reconnect, and this time I realize that.
Please remember to reconnect to let the new setting take effect.

Cheers.
