uvcvideo driver is broken on hardy for the dell mini 9

The uvcvideo driver supplied with the custom version of ubuntu for the dell mini 9 is broken. Some users report freezing, crashing, due to the faulty driver.

As an example the log shows:
Oct 20 10:38:19 Lemming kernel: [ 333.940340] uvcvideo: Failed to resubmit video URB (-45).

The solution is to use a newer version of the driver. This bug has high impact since it prevents many people from using their webcam.

No one could fix this? I compiled the new version of uvcvideo as report this:

Same problem for me.
I Tried to recompile the uvcvideo driver but nothing...my webcam still freezes with all the programs (cheese, skype, my dell chat...) and sometimes all the system crashes...
