Error when installing icedtea-gcjwebplugin from Firefox - Intrepid

Bug Description

When I use Firefox to view a site that uses java. Firefox gives me an
option to install 'icedtea-
error to do with unresolved dependencies.
The same thing happens in Synaptic.
Another user is also currently having this issue and posted the following information when trying to install the plug-in using apt-get:
$ sudo apt-get install icedtea-
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.

Finally bug 283950 also states this issue but I was advised to raise a new bug report instead of continuing with 283950.
