Bug Description

Release:
Ubuntu Intrepid 8.10 rc

Hardware:
Acer TravelMate 4220
Ati Mobility x1300 video card

Video driver:
ati (radeon)

Setup:
BigDesktop setup using gnome-display-properties.
Secondary screen left of the primary. Secondary screen offset from the bottom
by some pixel.

Problem:
Icons on the secondary screen cannot be placed higher than the top of the primary
screen. (See problem illustration).
"Auto-arrange icons" on desktop places icons on the left monitor (this is
not a problem), but below the top edge of the right monitor.

Other problems:
Icons can be placed in the blind spots around the smaller monitor.

Window management maximizes and snaps properly. But new dialogs (eg the
alt+f2/run dialog) is not placed properly.
