picture in movies is flimmering, like there is weak contact

When I look the movie picture is somehow flimsy, it comes on and off, like when you have weak electrical contact. it appears on every kind of movie files, it is not only on .avi or .wmv
I am using 8.10 Intrepid Beta with all the newest patches.
To make a proper report I would need to make video sequnce but I hope this print screen also helps. It seems it occurs more often when I move the cursor over the screen. When the vlc movie screen is on the top and I want to see pidgin window i mixes all up, I see Pidgin window and movie window at the same time, just the picture is coming and going and it is quite shaky.
I am using DELL notebook INspiron 6400 with ATI X 1300 GPU.
Hope I made my self at least a bit clear:)

thanks. I hardly can wait on update to watch movies without those "issues".

Attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log and the output of lspci -vvnn please.
