U-C installs from Live CD but not from Live USB

Bug Description

Binary package hint: usb-creator

Using the Live CD I can install directly to USB using usb-creator.
Using the Live USB thus created, usb-creator requires the Live CD or an iso.
It does not seem to recognize the USB as a source for the install.
This is using the Daily for 081021.

Please check whether the attached patch works for you (it does for me); then possibly consider removing the corresponding "if" statements altogether.
