Bug Description

For some reason panda3d's openAl implementation is very slow. I have looked into this before but did not really figure any thing useful out.

And it is crashy on windows. IMHO it needs a rewrite.

Glad you're willing to fix this, but are you sure we'll be able to get this
in 1.6.0?
