Bug Description

Network Manager Update on 10/8/08 (maybe off by a day) made me lose all my network connections. Everything looks right but I can't edit my connections. It now just hangs on authorization. I have NM .7 installed and have the following in sources:
http://ppa.launchpad.net/network-manager/ubuntu main
http://ppa.launchpad.net/network-manager/ubuntu main (source code)

I have uninstalled and reverted to .6.6 since then but it didn't help. I can connect by ethernet if I do the following in a terminal:
sudo ifdown eth0
sudo ifup eth0

This doesn't seem to work with wireless (eth1) because it tries to connect to a wireless connection that is at another location.

Thank you for the report, but this is not a launchpad bug, re-assigning to Ubuntu.
We're interested in why you accidentally recorded this bug as occurring in Launchpad instead of Ubuntu. If you can explain what happened, please let us know in bug 88818.

this was a bug in the hardy packages that should be fixed by now. if you can still reproduce, please attach your /etc/network/interfaces and your complete /var/log/syslog after reproducing.
