Bug Description

On upgrading a test IBM X40 from Hardy to Intrepid, the media keys for volume (up/down) and mute don't appear to be working anymore. I've tried fiddling with the X11 Keyboard settings, but no luck so far. I assume this is related to Bug #280994: again on Hardy no problems since Hardy beta on the same machine.

Thank you for the report, but this is not a launchpad bug, re-assigning to Ubuntu.
We're interested in why you accidentally recorded this bug as occurring in Launchpad instead of Ubuntu. If you can explain what happened, please let us know in bug 88818.

This is probably the same as bug 222796 for which a fix was just uploaded. Could you wait a few hours and then install all updates, and see if this is fixed for you too? Thanks.

Sorry for the confusion over bug classification. Anyway, whatever you did to fix things in the last code drop works for me. Everything seems to works the same as in Hardy now. Many thanks!

Don't thank me, Matt Zimmerman is the one who fixed it. Setting this bug to fix released.
