Bug Description

I just realized only two objects at a time can be intersected with Inkscape. Here's what I was trying to do: First I created some letters with the pen tool. Then I wanted to add a reflection-gloss look to them by drawing a large object over half of the letters I made and then I was trying to intersect them all at once with that larger object but it kept deleting everything I had selected unless I only did two objects at a time. It would be useful if you could intersect multiple objects at once with one larger object, because I mainly do a lot of lettering design and I use the intersection feature a lot. Thanks.

You can combine the objects (letters) into one path (CTRL+K) then
perform the intersection and finally separate them if you want them
independent from each other (SHIFT+CTRL+K).
That's a work around rather than a solution. I don't know how
complicated (in terms of code but also in terms of expectations for
the output) multiple path boolean operations would be.

Doing this converts all of the shapes to the same colour. You could perform the intersection on each separate object
