This started happening after I added this line to the Device-section in /etc/X11/xorg.conf:
 Option "TexturedVideo" "Off"

(This was added to prevent flickering of video streaming in combination with compiz enabled...)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 9.04? Thanks in advance.

I don't know about anyone else, but I haven't seen this in a couple months at least. I don't remember exactly when it stopped.

I think on my machine this was only back then,
maybe a 'one-off' during a software transition period? ...

This bug has been hit by various people again and again (see launchpad history) but it's always marked as invalid due to bad stacktrace. I just hit it again with jaunty feb 23rd bits.
