Can't get streaming quotes

When I 'm at my stock brokerage website I click on a link for "streaming quotes" and another separate window pops up and then a message that says :GNU security path implementation not complete. It then allows me to cancel, add applet to my white list to continue or always accept this applet. But if I choose either of the latter two it finishes opening the window but there is nothing but a blank white screen. Any suggestions.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04? Thanks in advance.

This was just a java issue that I resolved by correctly installing java to the firefox browser.

Thanks for the info. I thought I had installed java but apparently I have not done it correctly. Could you give me some advice on how to do it?

In Ubuntu, click on Applications, add/remove software, and type "java" in
the search window. Click and install both of the "OpenJDK Java"
applications.
