Games and screensavers (opengl) crash, forcing reboot.

Games such as armagetron crash after a few minutes of play. similarly screensavers. I am running a dell vostro 1510 (laptop) with ubuntu 8.04. After searching the forums its clear that im not the only one with this problem. Once it crashes no keys/mouse/touchpad etc respond, forcing reboot. Im not sure if this problem is graphics/video related or heat/temp/fan related.

Also - what graphics hardware does your Dell use?

the screen doesnt flicker.
and the graphics hardware says: mobile intel 965 express
