Regression: Can't add bug comment using IE6

Bug Description

A partner reports that recent launchpad changes caused the 'add comment/attachment' form on bug pages to stop working in IE6. Specifically, the twisty that opens the comment form is reportedly broken, so it's impossible to add a comment to a bug using IE6.

"OS: WinXP-SP2
Browser: IE 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254.

The problem occurred from 1 ~ 2 weeks ago. Before that, everything is ok."

Possible dupe of bug 127348.

I was able to reproduce this as well on IE7. I'm trying to get more debugging information from IE

Loading the page in IE7, I get the following errors:

Line: 447
Error: Expected identifier, string or number

Line: 48
Error: Object expected

The first error seems to be on line 447 of launchpad.js and the second one on line 48 of the html source. I used this bug page itself as to reproduce the error.

The problem also occurs in Opera and is due to an errant comma in launchpad.js. I've got a patch for the bug and will be submitting it for review shortly.

Just try to double confirm the fixed status. Unfortunately, all the problem jsut the same as before. I don't think this issue is fixed.

Hi Paul,

Can you give me the URL at which you're still seeing this problem?

To confirm, this problem is no longer evident in Opera 9.27 on https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/malone/+bug/273401. Not that it is as yet only on edge, not yet rolled out to production servers.

The problem is still existed in IE 6.

Right. That URL is to the production Launchpad instance, rather than
edge, which is our beta-testing environment. As I said above, the fix
will be rolled out to the production servers later today, as soon as a
Launchpad sysadmin becomes available to conduct the rollout.

To clarify, you can use version of Launchpad which includes this fix by going to https://edge.launchpad.net and using the instance of Launchpad you find there (so, for this bug , the URL would be https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/malone/+bug/273401/).
