I can confirm. I got this crash after latest updates today. I used kernel 2.6.27-3 with 64 bit.

Yeah, this is fixed in a fully-updated Intrepid install. Technically a dupe of bug 262926 but I don't feel like moving all the dupes around to one bug.

Hello, I have obtained this exact report by Apport today in Kubuntu 9.04 beta.
I was applying some updates in which python packages were included.
I think it happens while python packages are updated, many other python applications also crashed in the same moment.
