No Serial Ports

I have loaded Fluxbuntu and I have no serial port. Everything I check seems to indicate that the computer sees it but the computer will not talk to the radio I have connected to it.

Radio with RS-232 interface??

Have you /dev/ttyS0 and/or /dev/ttyS1 devices?
Can you read them / write in them?

Do you know protocol that that radio uses?

Not with Fluxbuntu. /dev/ttyS0 works with DSL and Knoppix and Win98 but not in Fluxbuntu.

Serial ports are working for me.

I was successfully sending IM messages through serial link to my DOS computer and processed them in TSR (resident program writing important messages on the screen)...

I've upgraded fluxbuntu to 8.4 / 8.11 so there can be that change..
