Bug Description

There's no "support" for globalmenu. Instead of insanely trying to describe what I mean, I present the attachment as the description.

Hello Thor,

Thank you for the feedback. But I think I cannot understand you correctly. What is this global menu? Can you describe it with words or point it on the screenshot with different color? I'm attaching a picture of my desktop. If you wish and if it's present point the menu there and send the image back. Or you can even create a screencast with Istanbul to show me what you mean.

Anton

Globalmenu is a patch for libgtk that moves the menubar to the GNOME panel by using an applet.

For your reference, here is the current location of the work and project regarding globalmenu.

Now I see :) Check if the file that I attach works. Just paste it in the ~/.themes/New Wave/gtk-2.0/ folder and reload the theme. If it does not I need to now the name of the main class the widget uses so that I can apply a style to it (see end of file).

If this works I can push it mainstream.

Still not showing the background.

Regarding the apple widget, you'd have to check out the source of globalmenu or check out some other themes that do "fix" it. E.g Leotard.

I tried a lot of stuff and it didn't work. The menus is working in the theme you mentioned because it's using a theme engine and I am using pixmap one that is a little but different. As this application GlobalMenu is still an alpha version it is not very polished and established yet. So let's wait and make sure the app is polished and stable enough to make it to mainstream and then we will look at that bug again. Meanwhile if you find something to resolve this problem feel free to post it here.

Best regards,
Anton

I tried to uninstalled it and it broke gtk+ main libraries. So it is dangerous to even install it.
