Bug Description

Binary package hint: libogre14

When compiling an app I'm working on (https://launchpad.net/colony/) for the first time with the packaged version of ogre (as opposed to the manual compiled version I've used up to now) I've found that Plugin_CgProgramManager.so is missing from /usr/lib/ogre. I believe this file requires the nvidia cg toolkit during compile. Any chance in getting this included in the package.

The way the package has been designed in Debian is to have the Plugin_CgProgramManager.so built as part of a separate source package, called ogre-contrib.
We can't build this source package due to the way the proprietary nvidia-cg-toolkit is working (see bug 254084) so we can't offer this library from our repo. As an alternative to compile it from (tarball) source, you can use our source package and compile it yourself; unfortunately until bug 254084 is fixed there is no other possible alternative.

Anyway to get this (and Plugin_CgProgramManager) into Oneiric and Precise?
