visual aspect ratio bug with shiny switcher applet

when the vertical desktop size is set to anything else then 1, both workspace switcher applets end up with a wrong aspect ratio (see attachement).

when logging in, at first all 4 desktops are shown in a 4x1 row in the workspace in the correct ratio. then while loading they are rearranged to 2x2 (as i set up) and the previous aspect ratio is not updated.

this only happens when awn starts automatically at login.

Per the instructions on the bug reporting form, this needs to be moved to the Awn Extras bug tracker.

Which window manager are you using?

It should be noted that the "classic" workspace switcher can change its width/height via its preferences dialog (although I think you have to re-activate the applet in order to see the height change).

OK, I just started a Xfce session (uses Xfwm4 as the window manager) with Awn autostarting and both switchers in the dock. I do not see the distortion that you are referring to.

This will happen if the desktop layout is changed after shinyswitcher is started (It does not properly adjust). Restarting shinyswitcher or delaying awn startup until after the layout is finalized should resolve the issue.

Also configuring shinyswitcher to the same desktop layout that is desired will probably fix the issue.

This is on my list of things to fix.

This should be properly resolved in trunk. If any cases of this can still be reproduced with trunk please reopen the bug
