Cannot copy and paste in chat window

Binary package hint: pidgin

Somehow I cannot copy and paste the text using the mouse (highlight the text and paste with the middle button) with Pidgin 2.4.3 anymore. It's fine when I first installed, but just in sudden, I have this problem. Sometimes, it works if I use "Paste in plain text". All I got as paste result was "<".

I don't have this issue with Pidgin 2.3.1.

Thank you for reporting this issue. Do you have problems copy+pasting in other software, too? Or is this only happening in Pidgin? I tried with version 2.5.0 in intrepid and can't reproduce this.

I have copy and paste problem ONLY in Pidgin. The issue is that I cannot
copy and paste by using the middle mouse button, which I have no problem
with the previous version of pidgin.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
