firefox 3.0 crashes system when running flashplayer

Using firfox 3.0.1, when watching some video with adobe flash player the system gets locked and you only can restart pressing the reset bottom.

It happens with ubuntu as well with windows XP SP3

There are so many Firefox-3.0 bugs that are very similar to this bug that you report, but arent the same so we cant mark it as a duplicate. We need more information if you want to get it solved.

when i use firefox3.0.1 to open some address this prolem will happen. firefox crash and when i reopen
firefox and open the address again ,everything is ok . so i am not sure what problem about firefox .

In fact, now I'm not sure that the problem will be Firefox, because
yesterday I intalled Opera 9.5 and it happened the same thing: the
system got locked and I had to restart pressing the reset bottom.

I've noticed too that the system cashes if something is downloading and
I try to see some .flv file.

I'll do more tests and I will report again if something new happens.

I can't remember now, but I'd say that happend to me with Firefox 2.0 or
with the beta of 3.0. But then was another tning because then only
firefox cashed but not all the system. As xinchen says, when restarting
firefox, the adress was ok. But now, I have to restart because not the
mouse, not the keyboard work.

This symptom should be resolved in 8.10 or 9.04 alpha 3; please confirm.
