Virtualbox modules were rebuilt for 2.6.24-20 in hardy-proposed, but found their way into hardy-updates

In fixing bug 252331, the new package appears to have been pushed to hardy-updates. Unfortunately, the updated package should have gone to hardy-proposed where it was needed. This causes trouble because virtualbox in hardy-updates is now depending on a kernel that's only in hardy-proposed.

WORKAROUND:
Install the correct version manually, e.g.:
  sudo apt-get install virtualbox-ose-modules-2.6.24-19-generic

When is the -21 bump expected? The fix to the package to use -19 instead of -20 is simple, is it worth running it through or will -21 come out soon enough to make it not worth the time investment?

I've got the fix here, I just don't know what it would take to get it into the official release and whether it would happen soon enough to be useful. If it would be soon enough to matter, I'll get a patch up... or is just a diff on the old and new control files enough?

I can confirm this problem. Workaround seems to be to install the preferred flavour directly, e.g.

  sudo apt-get install virtualbox-ose-modules-2.6.24-19-generic
