"Misinformation" In Install Time Remaining

During otherwise flawless Kubuntu 8.04 install from CD (from downloaded ISO), at 79% install progress, onscreen message said "<1 min left" (or words to that effect). It required another *21 minutes* to reach 100%.

Installation was on an older 500 mhz Celeron, Toshiba V3100 desktop system, 128 mb ram, 6.4 gb hard drive.

I can confirm that this is still the case in the Jaunty Alpha 4 install. The message appeared around 75%, but a decent amount of time remained in the install (didn't clock it, but at least 5-10 minutes).

Install was on a Dell Inspiron 8600.

There is no install time remaining shown. I guess it was removed.
