Update Manager hangs when updating Bind9

Update manager (version 1:0.87.27) hangs forever (I have let it go for days) when the update is for Bind9. All other updates load with no problem, after I de-select any having to do with Bind. I am running Ubuntu version 8.04.

Here it is. I'm relatively inexperienced with Linux so I'm not sure what
might be needed.

It says that the file is empty when I try to attach it.

However, File Browser says it is 5.5KB in size.

I finally tried to do updates again. It still hung with the bind updates included. When I removed them, the updates ran. I then tried the bind updates (after rebooting) and they worked too. Thanks very much to whom ever fixed the issue.
