The package is missing a dependency on libc6-dev, without it, the module won't build.

I cannot seem to reproduce this. I can build kqemu from the kqemu-source package in hardy on i386 without any problems.

Do you have libc6-dev installed, maybe due some other dependency?

I have attempted to reproduce this bug in hardy 8.04.1 on i386 and also amd64. I first check to make sure libc6-dev is not installed. However when I aptitude install kqemu-source libc6-dev is brought in through dependencies. However, I noticed that if using apt-get libc6-dev is not installed. So I think if using apt-get can produce this bug then kqemu-source should depend on libc6-dev. I feel both apt-get and aptitude should be able to install a working kqemu-source.

I will work on a patch for this and submit it when completed unless someone beats me to it.

Apparently this issue is fixed in Intrepid.

For Hardy please make sure libc6-dev is installed to ensure successfully building the kqemu module.
