the FREEZE has came back, Return of the FREEZE

Yesterday I applied the proposed Kernel update. in 8.04.1 kernel update 2.6.24-19 generic I think

Immediately I experienced a FREEZE....everything is stuck...mouse...keyboard....no other solution than a hard reboot.

This problem was frequent 3 weeks ago (no precise date). After few upgrades, which one I do not know, this FREEZE problem ceased to appear.

Maybe this is the effect of randomness...but maybe you reintroduced the FREEZE with the last Update

My machine is a Thinkpad X30 totally standard, with an very cautious and standard install of Hardy

Hello Jouni,

Excuse me for the double posting. I inteded to be more précie. The freeze
happenned after sometime. There is also the same remark in the forums...please
compare the laste update ...34 with the previous one which didn't freeze ...36

This is a very serious problem

Well my ubunty natty 11.04..
It freeze, when I pretend to force with more activity in the same area.
for example qbitorrent; I am marking something and something more and sudenly the system freeze__... I wait for a long time.
and nothing more to Reset is best cure..ok
and when I maximize some application the system will freeze.___
