Bug Description
I just built a computer just for Mythbuntu 8.04 x64
* COOLER MASTER Real Power Pro 550 RS-550-ACAA-A1 550W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply
* OCZ Platinum Revision 2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
* Thermaltake Mozart Media Center -- VC4000SNS Silver/ Black Aluminum / Steel ATX Desktop Computer Case
* ASUS P5N-D LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard
* MSI N8400GS-TD512 GeForce 8400 GS 512MB 64-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI
* Hauppauge HVR-1250 -- version 1196
* Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
* Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250310AS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s x 3 for RAID-5
* DVDROM 6x EIDE
I added my disks to a Raid5 array via the Raid bios,
Booted the LiveCD, the installer see 3 disk and not one.
apt-get'd dmraid and still the installer see 3 disk and not one.
I even tried Raid 1 with 2 drives.
Basicly, I couldn't use NVIDIA RAID support on install.
I did look here
https:/
https:/
there was another site I looked at too
I'm use to an installations finding the array out of the box or just need you to add a driver to find the array.
During install. the installer should say "Your computer supports Raid work you like me to install Raid support and look for an Disk array you can use for installation? this computer will need an active internet connected for this installation"
if yes, the installer will download and install the tools and drivers you need.
and then on the hard drive setup page your array(s) should show up and the rest of the installation should be the same.
dm-raid is being worked on for intrepid for normal ubuntu, so it should be
available in mythbuntu too
