Hello sharshabeeeel,

as far as I know plugins can only be disabled not uninstalled. It's a bit different to extensions. (as plugins are installed as root?!)

Thank you for your reply.

If this is the case, then how would I be able to remove them completely?

You can remove them if installed by as a .deb by running
sudo apt-get remove --purge flashplugin-nonfree
That command will uninstall flash/shockwave. You can also uninstall
plugins by removing the .so file from you profile. Profile will be
located at:
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
alternatives are if you dont feel like doing it from that dir. i will
post where mine are and named, yours will be simular may not be same.:
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/flashplugin-alternative.so
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libjavaplugin.so
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libtotem-basic-plugin.so
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libtotem-gmp-plugin.so
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libtotem-mully-plugin.so
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libtotem-narrowspace-plugin.so
I suggest you look into the first one i gave (/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins

Thank you John but the flashplugin-nonfree has been previously removed using Synaptic Package Manager.
I found the /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/flashplugin-alternative.so and removed it. Then I restarted the Firefox but I still see both of them (Shockwaves as seen on my attached file I added on my first post).

I need a list of what you have in /usr/lib/mozilla and
usr/lib/mozilla/plugins before i can tell you exatcy what to remove
you may have libflashsupport or gnash in there that may be keeping it
there.
Maybe check in ~/.mozilla/*.default/pluginreg.dat can you please
attach that file to this bug report so i can look to see why its still
there.
Im wondering if you have swf packages installed that is another one
that will keep shockwave IIRC.

(nothing found here)

and sorry for the other part (~/.mozilla/*.default/pluginreg.dat) I don't know where to find this file. Please tell me how to find it and I will get it attached here.

I found this file under /home/alfayez/.mozilla/firefox/vkuuxfit.default (is this the one needed?)
I just attached it.

using ~/ means you dont need to use /home/name/ it does that
automaticly so yes that is the plugin.dat i wanted. I will look at it
maybe over the weekend. Im making today a short day since i havent
slept in over 24 hours just here to clean up what i was working on and
to check email.

step 1. Please cd into ~/.mozilla/firefox/*.default
step 2. rm extensions.*
step 3. restart firefox
step 4. comment on this bug if it didnt work and please explain why it didnt work.
also comment if it worked. there is another dir. to remove but i would
like to see if this works first.
step 5. If it leaves you with no extenions please install one by one than remove
them one by one to see what one is causing issues.

HOTE: there are ways of screwing firefox up if you dont follow the above exactly as typed. This will only work on extensions seeing as plugins are housed somewhere else but to remove plugins you can "sudo apt-get remove --purge nameofplugin" replace nameofplugin with the package name.
