Bug Description
Not sure which package it is. I upgraded to Firefox 3 in Ubuntu 8.04 32 Bit, from the repository, in upgrades. I added Firefox add-ons for Ebay tools. (Ebay Companion was one and Ebay Time Zone was one) Was told to restart Firefox. When it came on again, the first error message said that Firefox was a 64 bit version, and needed to be removed and then the firefox 32 bit version installed. The second error was that an item was missing, and 5 lines of code were supplied to fix that error, but when it restarted both errors were still there. After I made the effort to fix the missing item.

Are these the "lines of code" you followed to fix the error? (They fixed it for me)
cd /usr/lib firefox/ *.default
sudo ln -s libnspr4.so.0d libnspr4.so
cd ~/.mozilla/
rm xpti.dat compreg.dat
