Can not install addons

Binary package hint: firefox

Addons that should work with Firefox 3 won't install saying they are not compatible with Forefox 3.0

I run Hardy with:

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; sv-SE; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008061015 Firefox/3.0

I have tried with these addons:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865

I have tried with any add-ons as soon as possible.
But I installed a add-ons via download the developer's source code.

I can install some add-ons in firefox 2.0 in the Ubuntu 7.10 and Windows XP, NOT in firefox 3.0 in the Ubuntu 8.04 or Windows XP.

Error Hint:
Firefox could not install the file at

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/downloads/ ... ... .xpi

because: Invalid file hash (possible download corruption)

I cannot install addons on Firefox. I receive error 228. According to the help for that error, the cache in "preferences/Network" should be greater than 1 MB. Mine is 100 MB!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello:

It looks like some mistakens, the bug isn't appear my PC. An other
bug install add-ons failure appeared . The question is disappeared
after I reinstalled firefox3.0.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. If it is still an issue, please provide examples of add-ons that don't work. Thanks in advance.

This was due to the extension authors. Could have been a packaging problem from author or a bad profile for firefox-3.0 either way not a Firefox bug.
