as long as this is not reported happening to anyone, I guess it is
unreproducible.

Can you please try if latest from unsable solves your problem?

I can more or less confirm the behaviour, here it does not really loop,
just hang, don't know when it started not working: usually I use mutt or
balsa and only occasionally mtb...

how do I do to install the "unstable" mtb? If I understood it correctly,
this bug has been corrected with 1.0.6 (testing contains 1.0.2 while
unstable is at 1.0.7 or something).

Followup-For: Bug #333265

We're using Sarge on our AMD64 systems with 32Bit-k7 Kernel and install
via FAI (So all workstations are configured exactly the same except some
printerconfig if they have a local printer)

We're having this problem too on this (and only this!) workstation. We could not
determine any differences to other workstations.

We even reinstalled it from scratch with the same behavior afterwards.
It's repeating this:
"*** loading the extensions datasource
New Global extensions installed .... done ... scheduling restart."
for every user.

Sorry, I was too lazy to explain it in detail ;)
Reinstalled from scartch means that the workstation has been installed from
scratch. (Clean debian installation with our config+ package selection)

I don't know much about the way you roll out your workstations ... how
do you do it? How get packages installed? How do you configure your system?

One cause for an endless loop could be a not registered/up-to-date
component/chrome system in thunderbird. To cure this, invoking
update-mozilla-thunderbird-chrome once as root should cure you.

If not ... lets see.

close 333265 1.5-1
thanks

Some time ago, I cloned your mozilla-thunderbird bug #333265 as bug #363713.
The new bug is the one to track your issue for the new thunderbird package.
Thus, I close your original mozilla-thunderbird bug for all versions of the 1.5 branch and later.

This mail is just a mail to educate you why your original bug is marked as done now.
You don't need to do anything. Your bug is still open and maintained.

Maybe take the time to take a look at your bug at http://bugs.debian.org/363713 and
verify if it still applies. If it is gone, please send a mail to
<email address hidden>.

Thanks,

Alexander Sack
