The calculator is not located on the screen

If to choose the expanded, financial or scientific kind the calculator is not located on the screen. Very wide buttons. It is impossible to change the size of a window on width.

thanks for your report, that's not reproducible here, do you have any other steps for reproduce the behavior? are you using compiz? does it happens without it? which locale are you using? thanks.

The program at start from the menu opens with the big buttons. At change of kind of the calculator it simply is not removed on the screen. The calculator looks equally with included and with switched off compiz.

Seems like this is a localization problem.
LC_ALL=ru_RU.UTF-8 gcalctool will result in huge window
LC_ALL=C gcalctool will result in normal window sizes

confirming based on a dup, seems to be an issue with the russian locale.

Hi, fixed by this .mo file. Please place it over /usr/share/locale-langpack/ru/LC_MESSAGES/gcalctool.mo
Now I'm trying to fix it inside launchpad and to verify this bug is not present in upstream GNOME translation.

Sure one need to ask package importer because russian translation for gcalctool was updated in upstream.
