Bug Description

Subjetc: Bug 234378

I have a very big problem to describe the bug in english, because I don't speak english language fluently, but I'll try it.

Some times wraiting spanish it is necessary to use a long dash (like this ―)

But the keyboard don't have an specific key to do it.

The way to do that is the use of an autocorrection option substituting two short dash (--) by the symbol (―). But this way don't work satisfatorily.

To get a long dash after (or before) a word it is necessary tu put an space, then to strike two times the key dash and then space. Then the two short dash( -- ) become long dash ( ― ).

When we have got the long dash by this way it is necessary to eliminate one of the spaces writing after or before of the long dash.

When the long dash must be beside the last letter of a word, to get it we need to strike the key space, to strike two times the key dash and to strike another more time the key space. (Then we have something like : "xxx ― . Abc")

To get te correct writing (like: "xxx―. Abc") it is necessary to return to the first space (striking trhee times the arrow back key) to eliminate it (striking the correspondent key), and after to go again at he end of the dash (striking the arrow ahead key) to put the ortografic sign ( dot, coma, semicolon), to override the last space (striking the arrow ahead key) and then to start writing the next word.

The process is easier when we need writing the long dash at the firs of a line or beside the first letter of a word, because we need eliminate only de last space after the long dash.

My questions are: ¿Is there some way to do that easier? ¿It is posible to do that the the two short dash become in a long dash without need puting spaces before and after?
