Bug Description
The Fujitusu Fi-60f produces a color scan on Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 Desktop, but emits a double-free error at the end.
The error does not completely prevent the user from using scanimage, but the more user-friendly GUI scan tools, gscan2pdf in particular, encounter an intolerable number of modal dialogs announcing the error.
The backend author quickly made the following commits to CVS in response to the report:
epjitsu.c.diff
https:/
epjitsu.h.diff

But I haven't tested it yet on Ubuntu-8.04. I'm having trouble rebuilding a patched http://
If provided, I'd gladly test a patched .deb and if successful mark the bug fixed for Ubuntu to incorporate this fix into a sane-backends maintenance release.
Could I get some debian-packagers assistance on applying this upstream patch to rebuild sane-backends?

Are you still affected by this bug? As I see here the patch has not been implemented.
