Bug Description

Hardy Heron
Connect to server - windows share results in a first time display of error message "can't display location smb://server/share" - The specified location is not mounted. When the share is then opened another share icon appears on the desktop - double entry. Also when the share happens to be the user's home directory, unless domain\user is entered in the user field it will not connect. After a successful connection(with the double entries) it sometimes asks for a password for the second time and reverts back to workgroup even though a domain has been entered.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04? Thanks in advance.

Hi Pedro,

the bug has gone away in 8.10 and I haven't tested in 9.04 yet.
