Equalizer doesnt work in Exaile 0.2.13 - Ubuntu Hardy Final Release

I can't hear any change in sound when i modify the equalizer vaulues. I didn't work in exaile 0.2.11
ubuntu hardy repo version nor in exaile 0.2.13 ppa repo.

I sent in this comment under the .2.11 bug report by mistake:

I can report that the equalizer under 2.1.13 does not work. It shows up, allows the 'checkbox', but there is NO alteration of sound even if moving the bass/treble sliders max one way or another.

8.04 Hardy (32 bit) 0.2.13 player. (all codecs installed.)

Same thing here. aditionaly, when the equaliser is enabled the sound is spitting when the bass and treble are loud

Eq don't work, it does not do anything, disable/enable it seems to work but no, the sound don't change...

I'm testing exaile 0.2.14devel [r1650] and the equalizer still don't working. Is someone actually doing some work to solve this bug? If not, i can try solve this. Thanks for future answers.

efforts to fix the EQ in the 0.2.x series were abandoned due to the effort that would be needed for a series about to be discontinued. we will strive to have a fully-operational EQ in exaile 0.3.0 and later.
